Where is Sphinx Airport in Egypt?

Sphinx International Airport sits in Giza Governorate, on Egypt's Cairo-Alexandria desert road, near the town of Kerdasa — on the western edge of Greater Cairo, roughly 35 km from 6th of October City.

It was purpose-built to serve travellers visiting the Giza Plateau, home to the Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx monument, and the Grand Egyptian Museum, offering a shorter route into the area than flying into Cairo International Airport on the opposite side of the city.
