Sphinx Airport is an independent, licensed tourist transport company offering Cairo airport transfer and private driver services across Egypt — airport pickups and drop-offs, city-to-city transfers, and full-day tour transport, all with a driver and a fixed price agreed before you travel.

We are not affiliated with Sphinx International Airport (SPX) or its operator. Our name reflects the destination most of our clients are heading to or from: the Giza Plateau, home of the Great Sphinx.

Every driver on our roster is licensed and experienced with airport pickups, hotel transfers, and long-distance routes between Cairo, Giza, Sharm El-Sheikh, Hurghada, Luxor and Aswan. Vehicles range from economy sedans to full-size coaches, so groups of any size can book a single, straightforward transfer.

How we started

Sphinx Airport grew out of a simple frustration shared by a lot of visitors to Egypt: arriving at Cairo International Airport late at night, tired from the flight, and having to negotiate a taxi fare in an unfamiliar currency before you've even left the terminal. We built a private driver service around fixed, pre-agreed pricing so that part of the trip is settled before you land — you know the cost of your Cairo airport transfer to your hotel in advance, and the driver is waiting with a name sign when you clear customs.

Where we operate

Our core service is airport transfer in Cairo and Giza — pickups from Cairo International Airport (terminals 1, 2 and 3) to hotels in Downtown Cairo, Giza, New Cairo and Sheikh Zayed. Beyond the capital, we also arrange private driver transport to and from Sharm El-Sheikh, Hurghada, Luxor and Aswan, along with day-trip transport to Giza's Pyramids and the Sphinx, Saqqara, and other sites within a few hours of Cairo.
