Is Sphinx Airport Good?

Sphinx Airport is popular with tourists mainly for its proximity to the Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, cutting travel time compared with landing at the larger Cairo International Airport. The airport sits on the Cairo–Alexandria desert road in Giza Governorate, near the town of Kerdasa, sharing its site with the older Cairo West Air Base. That's roughly 30.11°N, 30.89°E, at an elevation of about 169 m (553 ft) above sea level.

As with most Egyptian airports, it's worth arriving at least 3 hours before an international departure and around 2 hours before a domestic one, since security screening and passport control can take longer at busier times.
